Giving Back: The Heart of A.R. Mazzotta’s Commitment to Community

At A.R. Mazzotta Employment Specialists, our dedication extends beyond providing exceptional staffing solutions across Connecticut. We believe in nurturing the social and economic well-being of the communities where we operate. This belief is embodied in our unique Annual Employee Non-Profit Donation Program, a testament to our commitment to give back to causes that resonate deeply with our team members.

A Tradition of Compassion and Support

Each February, a special event unfolds at A.R. Mazzotta; our employees select a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that holds personal significance. The company then honors this choice by making a donation in the employee’s name to their chosen charity. This initiative not only supports a wide array of vital services within our community but also strengthens the bond between our employees and the causes they care about.

Empowering Our Community

Our team members have chosen to support a diverse range of organizations, each with a unique mission.

Cat Tales, Inc.,

Heather champions Cat Tales, Inc., which is a non-profit organization in Middletown, CT. This organization is dedicated to protecting the quality of life and improving the well-being of abused, neglected, and abandoned cats and kittens within the community.  Heather adopted her cat, Zoey, from them about 2 years ago and wants to continue to give back to the organization that does such a great job sheltering and fostering these kittens and cats.

Down Syndrome Association of CT – Advocacy Avengers,

Robin supports the Down Syndrome Association of CT – Advocacy Avengers, a vibrant community for individuals with Down syndrome. The program’s inclusive environment and support system have touched Robin’s family directly.

Younglives

Alexus is passionate about Younglives. She chose this organization because she has been involved with this program for 11 years and has transitioned into a mentor role. This nonprofit organization helps to guide teenage mothers through their situation and empowers them to make positive choices and set goals to better their lives and the lives of their children.

Alexus shares “I am so excited to see this program expand into the Waterbury area to reach inner-city youth. We model love, meet needs, and show compassion. This could only be possible because of companies like A.R Mazzotta and the local community who give back and donate what they can!”

Middlesex United Way / VITA

Mike chose to donate to Middlesex United Way / VITA. VITA is a United Way program that provides free tax filing services for those who qualify. The program’s direct benefit to Mike and Alisa underscores the importance of accessible financial services. The VITA program is mostly made up of volunteers with accounting/tax filing backgrounds.

Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis

Teresa supports Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis, offering a safe haven for those affected by domestic abuse. Teresa’s choice reflects the critical need for support and resources in overcoming domestic violence. Places such as Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis help to restore you, starting from the outside with a safe place, to the inside, mending feelings of guilt, hurt, self-esteem, and abandonment. It’s important for people to know that they’re not alone and there are resources out there for them, reminding them that “You may not be where you want to be, but at least you’re not where you used to be.”

Homeward Bound CT

Jessica has a special connection with Homeward Bound CT, an organization facilitating dog adoptions. Jessica’s positive adoption experience with her dog Mikey highlights the loving care the organization provides. Once we met Mikey and felt he was a fit for us, they took us to a separate space where they wanted us to introduce him to our other dog, Tucker, to ensure they would get along. They really care about making sure these animals are going home to a safe space where it will be a good long-term fit.

Broadening Our Impact

A.R. Mazzotta’s commitment to enriching our community doesn’t stop with our Annual Employee Non-Profit Donation Program. Over the past year, in addition to personal employee contributions and our matching campaign, we’ve extended our support through donations, both large and small, to a wide array of nonprofit organizations throughout Connecticut. These contributions reflect our holistic approach to community engagement, underscoring our belief in the power of collective action to foster positive change.
