Meet The Team
The A.R. Mazzotta team is respected for their dedication, integrity, and deep knowledge of the staffing industry. Many of our specialists have over 20 years of experience and have been with our team for well over a decade.
We believe in giving personal attention to every employer and job seeker we work with – so let’s give some of that same personal treatment to the amazing people who are A.R. Mazzotta. Get to know them a little better.
Laura Dale Pedersen, CSP, CPC
CEO
To say that Laura loves the staffing world is an understatement! She finds it as exciting and interesting today as she did when she began her career in 1983. And it continues to energize her each and every day.
Before becoming CEO, Laura held many positions within the company including accountant, staffing professional, branch manager, operations manager, vice president and president. Today, she oversees all aspects of A.R. Mazzotta and its operations. She is diligent about maintaining the strong ethics and integrity for which the company is known and respected, while fostering positive growth for the company.
Laura holds two certifications: CSP, Certified Staffing Professional, American Staffing Association and CPC, Certified Personnel Consultant.
As a dedicated community supporter, Laura spearheads A.R. Mazzotta’s Middlesex United Way Matching Campaign and contributes to various community programs. She serves as a Corporator for Middlesex Hospital and Middlesex Community College.
You’ll find Laura at the office more often than not, but in her free time she enjoys being at the ocean, hiking, biking and gardening.
Robin Soucy, CSP
Operations Manager
Robin began her career at A.R. Mazzotta in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant. Under the mentorship of the in-house team, she learned the recruiting process. With this experience she now manages the Talent Services Department (TSD), which is the foundation of the company’s processes, supporting both the office / professional and manufacturing / warehouse teams.
Today Robin serves as A.R. Mazzotta’s Operations Manager. In this role, she is a member of the leadership team. She is responsible for ensuring that the overall operations of the company are covered on a daily basis in order to provide the excellent service for which the company is known. To this day, she continues to use her manufacturing recruiting skills to place Talent in career opportunities for which she is passionate about.
Robin earned her Certified Staffing Professional designation and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, with a Concentration in Human Resource Management from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven.
Robin enjoys volunteering with various organizations and actively participates in events dedicated to supporting families and individuals with Down Syndrome. During her free time, she loves going out for walks or to the gym with friends. In 2023, she participated in a Women’s Powerlifting Competition.
Jessica Duval, CSP
Recruiting Manager
Jessica is the Recruiting Manager for our Office & Professional Placement division. She has experience in both office and manufacturing recruiting and placement, and she finds each challenging and exciting in their own way. She has been with the A.R. Mazzotta team since 2017 and has earned her certification as a Certified Staffing Professional (CSP).
She is responsible for building relationships with clients and candidates to make the best match. This requires rigorous searching and screening in order to not only line up the candidate’s skills and career goals but to make a good culture match as well.
Jessica’s professional background includes recruiting, customer services and sales. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Central Connecticut State University. While working in human resources during a summer internship, she developed a passion for recruiting and never looked back.
During her free time, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends. She also loves gardening and taking care of her menagerie of animals including her dogs, cat, and chickens!
Sherry Gualtieri
Senior Recruiting Specialist
With more than 20 years of experience in the light industrial and manufacturing space, Sherry brings a deep understanding of what it takes to connect the right people with the right opportunities.
Throughout her career, she’s earned a reputation for being dependable, thoughtful, and quick to build trust with both job seekers and employers.
Sherry is passionate about making meaningful connections and believes that strong relationships are the foundation of lasting success.
She’s someone who genuinely cares about people and takes pride in helping others find the right path forward—whether it’s a new job, a new team member, or a new opportunity to grow.
Outside of work, Sherry cherishes spending time with her family. She is a proud mom of a recent college graduate and is excited to soon welcome her first grandchild.
Alexus Curtin, CSP
Recruiting Professional
Alexus began her career in the staffing world in 2018 and knew the human resource industry was for her. She enjoys sourcing for candidates, hoping to find the perfect fit for both the client and the candidate. She previously staffed for financing and accounting roles and is now a part of our office professional’s recruiting team.
She enjoys speaking with candidates and discovering what type of work truly excites them and will aid them on their journey to reach their career goals. She truly loves the atmosphere at A.R. Mazzotta because she can take her time with each candidate and connect on a level that is not usually possible with other agencies. Because at A.R Mazzotta we are people focused!
She volunteers at Younglives, a nonprofit organization that helps to guide teenage mothers through their situation and empower them to make positive choices and set goals to better their lives and the lives of their children. It is a mission that is extremely close to her heart.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and finding the beauty and creativity in all things around her!
Michael Muscatello
Recruiting Specialist
As Recruiting Specialist, Mike sources and interviews candidates with the goal of finding the right person for the right job. Providing quality service and excellent customer service are important to him.
With his professional background in customer service, sales, payroll and construction, Mike brings many talents to his role. He thoroughly enjoys the process of recruiting and talking with people to get ideal matches for our manufacturing, warehouse and high-tech openings.
Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University.
Deborah Calderón
Talent Services Assistant
Deborah joined A.R. Mazzotta in May 2024 as Talent Services Assistant. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Central Connecticut State University.
Deborah’s career with A.R. Mazzotta began when we placed her in her first customer service role. This experience, combined with her passion for human resources, served as a steppingstone for her to join our Talent Services Team.
She is eager to cultivate her passion for HR by helping our team to find the perfect match for both candidates and clients. As a Spanish speaker, Deborah is able to assist a broad range of people in finding the right fit.
In her role, Deborah provides exceptional customer service to talent, guiding them from their initial contact through to scheduling interviews with the appropriate recruiter. She ensures an excellent customer service experience for all applicants, supporting them throughout their employment journey.
Outside of work, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, and baking. As the newest addition to the A.R. Mazzotta team, she appreciates the close-knit atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Heather Reney
Senior Accountant
Heather joined the A.R. Mazzotta team in 2014, and we’re very happy to have her. In her role as Senior Accountant she keeps busy managing payroll and coordinating benefits for our temporary/contract employees. And let’s not forget about her other number-crunching responsibilities, like overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable and other general accounting duties.
A graduate of Central Connecticut University, Heather has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has been in the accounting field for over 13 years. She has developed a love for the recruiting industry and A.R. Mazzotta. She appreciates having a work-life balance that the company offers as well as having great coworkers that make each day a little better! She enjoys helping people, and finds it is important to be understanding/compassionate of employees’ circumstances and creating a positive experience for all.
Outside of work, Heather is busy with her 6-year-old daughter, who she loves experiencing new adventures with and watching her grow up to be a sweet loving little girl. She finds enjoyment in the little things in life – a good show, good friends & family, and good food!
