Wallingford area insurance agency is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their friendly, high-energy team environment. This is an excellent career opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the insurance industry.
Contract to hire, $20 per hour, plus benefits and room for advancement.
To be successful in this role, applicants should have a desire to succeed in the Insurance field. Our client is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in obtaining their Property & Casualty license. The company will provide the proper training and resources necessary to achieve your licensure.
In this role, you are the first point of contact for clients and visitors, so a professional demeanor is essential. Job responsibilities include answering busy phones, processing payments, email correspondence, processing certificates of insurance, creating/typing letters and memos, daily mail and general office tasks including scanning, filing and special projects. Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
To qualify for this position, please have the following:
* Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant
* Desire to obtain P&C license and learn about the Insurance industry
* Ability to prioritize workload and keep up with fast-paced environment
* Strong technical skills including full knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Motivated and resourceful
* Team player, willing to assist as needed
